2016 Angel Tree Results

Our Sincere Thank You to the Community

A Salvation Army Angel Tree is a Christmas Tree adorned with numerous tags, each of which represents an underprivileged child from the Los Angeles community. On every tag are clothing sizes and requests for a small toy or other gift for the child. People come in to the office, select a tag, and return with a gift that we deliver to the Salvation Army.  Many of these children would not otherwise receive a gift for the holiday, so we relish the opportunity to spread a little extra cheer within the community.

After the success of last year’s Angel Tree, Icon Blue decided to up the ante. In 2015, Icon Blue and other members of the 5055 Wilshire building were able to assemble gifts for 75 children. This year we are pleased to announce that we surpassed last year and matched gifts with 100 children. We are humbled by the tremendous generosity of the other members of the 5055 Wilshire community who came out to support this cause. Just a few of the contributors were Francesca Tomtishen, Carmen Moses, Heather Crespy, Caitlin McGee, Jose Encinas Jr., Sara Maaza, Eden McClellan, Ashley McGovern, Erika Mancilla, Munassen Toliver, Frances Takahashi, Jack Kelly, Jo Jordan, Erin Zukowski, Amanda Scott, Donna Marie Reid, Wes Haas, Minh Dang, Margaret Freeny, and Michelle Jones. We give our sincerest thank you to everyone who participated by donating and making the effort to help bring smiles to those in need in our city.
